hi all,
I'm putting my two Peavey Nanovalve combos up for sale. These are
cracking little combos which I've modified to make much more domestic
friendly. You can read about them here : www.nanovalve.net
As you will see from the website they've both been upgraded somewhat
from the way they left the factory. They both have :
- Pentode/Triode switch
- Clean/Boost switch (not described on the webpage)
- L-Pad attenuator/Power Soak (which make the Triode mode pretty
much unnecesary)
- Upgraded speakers, one has a Celestion and the other has a Jensen.
- Upgraded valves
- ext speaker jack.
There is absolutely nothing at all wrong with them and they work
perfectly. I've used them once for a gig where they held their own in
a small pub, otherwise they've only been used in my house.
With the mods I've made these are absolutely superb at getting the
full on valve overdrive tone at very domestic friendly levels. Reason
for sale - I've bought something else - a Marshall Class 5. Whether
it will sound much better is a moot point, but I think the Marshall
looks just sublime.
When you see the prices that modifed Epi Valve Jrs go for on ebay,
£100 each is I think reasonable.
cheers to all
